Governance

Currently is in development.

OnlyMoons Governance Contract

OnlyMoons governance contract will be used to vote on different properties of the utilities such as the minimum and maximum fees for the launchpad. Networks with the OnlyMoons token will have separate voting for their utilities. Votes will be triggered through a proposal that any token holder can initiate. The proposal will need to pass through a preliminary voting session before it is able to proceed to the primary voting. To vote, a user must have either OnlyMoons or xONLYMOONS (please see Staking for more details on xONLYMOONS). These tokens will need to be sent to the voting contract that will lock the tokens until the end of the voting period. While the tokens are locked in the governance contract, selling and trading WILL NOT be possible, this is to prevent vote manipulation or abuse. Depending on the results of a given vote, the governance platform will make the necessary changes.

Governance as a service

OnlyMoons will also offer a governance deployer that will enable projects to deploy governance contracts for a fee. This fee will be determined by the OnlyMoons governance contract. When a project deploys their own governance contract, they are able to specify the token and/or the xtoken to accept for voting. Similar to the OnlyMoons governance contract, votes will be triggered through a proposal that any token holder can initiate. The proposal will need to pass through a preliminary voting session before it is able to proceed to the primary voting. To vote on a proposal the user must hold at least one of the two tokens specified in the governance contract creation. These tokens will need to be sent to a voting contract that will lock the tokens until the end of the voting period. While the tokens are locked in the governance contract, selling and trading WILL NOT be possible, this is to prevent vote manipulation or abuse. Depending on the results of the vote, the governance contract will make the necessary changes.
